About Me

My name is Jonathan and I’m a software developer. Back in 2020, I purchased my first 3d printer. Since then, I’ve learned a lot about how 3d printers work and how to design models. Over the years, I would print random things and bring them into my office to share with others. I brought in everything from fidget toys, desk organizers, house plant vases and even holiday decorations.

I offered to 3d print small things for anyone that wanted them. One of my coworkers took me up on the offer and requested a letter board. They showed me one they had purchased for their autistic non verbal child who just started an alternate form of speech therapy called S()MA RPM.

While the board was nice, it was only made from acrylic and was very expensive for what it was. I took up the challenge and created the first printed letter board. Since then, I’ve iterated on the design to what is available in this store.

Why I Created this Business

Remember that coworker? Well, she is very persistent and has a kind heart. I want to be able to continue to help her, her child, and everyone else going through the journey of learning to spell to communicate. My goal is to provide an affordable and durable product for anyone to be able to use who are in this journey or are teachers supporting individuals learning to communicate. This can be simply adding a handle or finding the prefect color.

I hope that I’m able to listen to the needs of everyone using these types of boards and create the right products. Since these are created using a 3d printer, it allows me to quickly test my designs without having to use an expensive third-party to design and create them.

I continually iterate on all of my designs and am always open to hear what is or is not working. This could be something as simple as extra spacing between letters or a sharp edge that doesn’t feel right while holding the board. While I cannot guarantee I can fix or solve every issue, I
will do my best.
